Future - Spanish Verbs

Regular Spanish Verbs

To conjugate the regular verbs in the futuro tense of the subjunctive mood, you take the infinitive form of the verb as it is found in the dictionary, you remove the group endings (-ar, -er, -ir) and replace them with the personal endings. The stem of the verb remains the same.



TIP: Most Spanish verbs fall under the -ar group.


The personal endings for the Futuro Tense of the Subjunctive Mood are listed below.

 

Irregular Spanish Verbs

To conjugate the irregular verbs, the same rules apply as the regular verbs. In many of the irregular verbs you will find there will be spelling changes in the stem of the verb.


-ar Group -er Group -ir Group
I - are I - iere I - iere
You - ares You - ieres You - ieres
He/she/it - are He/She/it - iere He/She/it - iere
We - áremos We - iéremos We - iéremos
You(all) - areis You(all) - iereis You(all) - iereis
They - aren They - ieren They - ieren

Futuro - Verbos Espanoles

Verbos Regulares

Para conjugar los verbos regulares en el tiempo futuro del modo subjuntivo, cogemos la forma de infinitivo del verbo tal y como nos la encontramos en el diccionario, le quitamos la terminación de infinitivo (-ar, -er o -ir) y la sustituimos por la terminación personal correspondiente. La raíz del verbo se queda igual.



Nota: La mayoría de los verbos españoles pertenecen al grupo terminado en -ar.

 

Las terminaciones personales son las siguientes para el tiempo futuro del modo subjuntivo:

 

Verbos Irregulares

Para conjugar los verbos irregulares aplicamos las mismas reglas que para los verbos regulares. En muchos verbos irregulares encontraremos cambios ortográficos en la raíz del verbo.

tú - ares tú - ieres tú - ieres
él/ella/usted - are él/ella/usted - iere él/ella/usted - iere

ellos/as/ustedes - aren ellos/as/ustedes - ieren ellos/as/ustedes - ieren
