Spanish Bull Fighting.

A controversial topic. You could also call it disgusting, cruel, inhumane or sickening topic. Spanish bull fighting is a tradition in Spain where a so called bull fighter "skillfully" tortures and exhausts the bull. Once the bull is exhausted, the bull fighter takes a long sword and thrusts it into the bulls back killing the bull. And they do this for entertainment.

The good news about this disgusting Spanish event, is that it has a life span. It is not going to be around for much longer. Its life span is going to depend on the European union and more specifically England. The English had a similar cruel event of hunting and killing foxes using dogs, but various organizations and their supporters proudly campaigned against the cruelty of the event and the event is now outlawed. Well done to the British. If we can just get those organizations to influence the Spanish government.

As my husband pointed out, the bad news about this disgusting Spanish event are the bulls themselves. The bulls that are used (tortured and killed for amusement) are purposely bred for this event. When this event is outlawed, the breeding of these bulls might come to an end. And yet another species might go extinct.

Although most Spanish nationals do not like this event and especially not the younger generations, not enough is being done to put a stop to this cruel tradition of Spain.

We know that most of you came to educationalspanish.com to learn the Spanish language, we do however ask you not to support this cruel event. Please if you are going to Spain or any other country where this inhumane event takes place, please do not support it.
